Some Miracles Of The Qur’an |

Some Miracles Of The Qur’an By Harun Yahya The Formation of Petrol “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High: He Who created and moulded; He Who determined and guided; He Who brings forth green pasture, then makes it blackened stubble.” [87:1-5] As we know, petrol forms from the remains of plants and animals in the sea. Once these have decayed on the sea bed after millions of years, all that is left are oily substances. These, under layers of mud and rock, then turn into petrol and gas. Movements in the Earth’s crust sometimes lead to the sea petrifying and to the rocks containing petrol being buried thousands of meters deep. The petrol that forms sometimes leaks through the pores in the rock layers from several kilometers down, and rises to the surface, where it vaporizes (turns into gas), leaving a mass of bitumen behind. The tree elements identified in the first four verses of the surah of al-A’la parallel the formation of petroleum. It is quite likely that the term “mar’aa, meaning “pasture or meadow,” refers to the organically-based substances in the formation of petroleum. The second word of note in the verse is “ahwaa,” used to describe blackish-green, greenish-black, dark or sooty colors. This word can be thought of as describing the waste plant matter accumulated underground gradually turning black, since these words are supported by a third word, “ghuthaa’.” The word “ghuthaa’” translated as “stubble,” can also mean “flood-water plants, plants brought together by waste matter being collected and dispersed around valleys, rubbish, leaves or foam.” In addition to the connotation of “vomiting out” implied in the word, it may also be translated as “to flood fourth vomited matter,” and describes the way that the earth “vomits” fourth petroleum. In fact, in the light of the formation of petroleum, the way it emerges, its foam-like appearance and its color, one can better see with what wisdom were the words employed in the verses. As has been discussed, the plant in the verse turning into a dark and viscous liquid bears a strong resemblance to the formation of petroleum. The description of such a formation over many years, at a time when the formation of petroleum was unknown, is without doubt another proof that the Qur’an is the revelation of Allah. |

Overcoming Life’s Difficulties BY KIMBERLY BEN We have experienced challenges in life of one sort or another: Perhaps you are in the midst of trying to make sense of a failed marriage that, despite your best efforts and prayers, has ended; or maybe you are mired in grief over the death of a child, spouse, parent, or other close loved one. Maybe you are picking up the pieces of a failed career you spent most of your life establishing only to loose it all. As you can imagine, going situations would send your emotions into a tailspin! You might experience several emotions all at once: numbness, anger, fear and hopeless. You might suddenly find yourself questioning the purpose of life and your place in midst of it all. |

Islamic Education for the Family: A Different Meaning to Home Schooling |

Islamic Education for the Family A Different Meaning to Home Schooling With school schedules and extracurricular activities and everything else in between, many families are finding it hard to incorporate the most important aspect of life into their routines: Islam. Worship and spiritual rituals are something that we should not only incorporate into our lives but instill into our families, as well. Rituals like salah and supplication should be as regular and scheduled for us as homework and bath time-but for many of us, they are not. What is a woman to do when she realizes that her spirituality (or her desire for spirituality) is beginning to exceed that her husband’s and family’s? What is a woman to do when she begins to feel the burden of teaching and coaching her entire family single-handedly because her husband is unavailable to help her mentor the children or be a role model for them? |

Terima kasih. |
